Using Alexa with Your KitchenAid Appliances
The KitchenAid connected appliances skill makes it easy to interact with, control, and monitor your KitchenAid connected appliances using Amazon Alexa. As long as you have a registered KitchenAid connected appliance, you can enable this skill and link your KitchenAid account to Amazon Alexa for simple, seamless voice interaction.
Before getting started
In order to connect your appliances to Alexa the following needs to be completed:
- KitchenAid account created through the KitchenAid mobile app
- Appliances connected to the internet via the KitchenAid mobile app
NOTE: If you need help creating an account, downloading the mobile app or connecting your appliances to the internet, refer to the "Unable to Connect" or "Trouble with the App" section of this troubleshooting guide.
How to Connect
Connection Method 1
To enable a skill using voice commands:
- Enable the skill by saying "Alexa, enable the KitchenAid skill"
- Enter your KitchenAid account username and password to link your account to Alexa.
Connection Method 2
To enable a skill in the Alexa app:
- From the Home screen, click on the navigation panel, select "Skills".
- Using the search bar, enter "KitchenAid".
- Click on "KitchenAid Skill" and select "Enable Skill".
- Enter your KitchenAid Account username and password to link your account to Alexa.
Connection Method 3
To enable a skill in the Alexa Store (Desktop)
To enable skills from the Alexa Skills store on the website, go to https://www.amazon.com/skills.
- Using the search bar, enter "KitchenAid
- Click on "KitchenAid skill" and select "Enable Skill".
- Enter your KitchenAid account username and password to link your account to Alexa.
