Using Control Lock
Using the Control Lock on Your KitchenAid Dishwasher
The control lock on a dishwasher is intended to "lock" the control from unintended use. It can be used while the dishwasher is operating or not. This is perfect for the household with children who like to touch buttons so the dishwasher cannot be turned on accidently or turned off when running.
NOTE: You must press the actual button to activate Control Lock, not the words that say "Hold 3 sec".
How to set the Control Lock:
If the Control Lock feature has been enabled, the Control Lock light will flash 3 times indicating that it is activated. Press the button for that dedicated key to activate and deactivate the Control Lock. To turn off Control Lock, press and hold the Options key that says "Control Lock Hold 3 Sec" under it for 3 seconds.
If the dishwasher has a dedicated Control Lock button in the Options selections, press and hold CONTROL LOCK for 3 seconds (press the words "Control Lock).
NOTE: You may need to disable Sleep Mode by pressing either Start/Resume or Cancel, or by opening and closing the door before you are able to turn Control Lock off.
NOTE: If your model requires you to press and hold PROSCRUB UPPER, 4 HOUR DELAY, SANI RINSE, or BOTTLE WASH to lock the controls, the Control Lock light will be on when Control Lock is active.
